HEART-CENTRED, NOT HEAD-CENTRED
Practising Heartfulness helps us experience the wisdom of our heart and, in doing so, we learn to let go of fear and to trust ourselves and our intuition. We can also become calmer, clearer, more effective and balanced.
Heartfulness Meditation can include the use of `Transmission’, a unique feature of the method which helps us deepen our experience of meditation and which can also amplify and accelerate our progress. Transmission can be described as a very subtle energy which has to be experienced to understand its effects but it touches our hearts and helps us to re-establish a connection with our Self.
Heartfulness is a simple system of meditation which, with a bit of practice, can help us achieve happier and more balanced lives. Of course, it does not remove all life's difficulties but it can reveal inner resources which gradually become stronger and more permanent, the more we practise. This provides us with inner strength to support us in difficult times and situations.
WHO ARE WE?
We are a non-profit organisation with centres throughout the world and we invite you to experience Heartfulness for yourself. We work with adults - those over 18 years. As we are a charity run entirely by volunteers we are not able to offer Heartfulness to vulnerable groups.
Why do you meditate?
When Buddha was asked “What have you gained from meditation?” He replied, “Nothing. However, I have lost anger, anxiety, depression, insecurity, and a fear of old age and death.”
Amongst the stresses and strains of life, Heartfulness offers a simple and helpful approach to meditation and relaxation which is free and open to all. Meditation has been practised for thousands of years and its benefits are well documented. They include a reduction in stress as well as improvements in health, concentration and focus - all the ingredients necessary for a happier and more fulfilling life. You can try Heartfulness in the comfort of your home, and also within local groups with the help of trainers available throughout the UK.
